Biography
Gurdas Maan was born on 4 January 1957 in Giddarbaha, Sri Muktsar Sahib district. The District Administration records that he developed his musical skills in Giddarbaha during his early years. His breakthrough came with Dil Da Maamla, after which he became one of the most influential figures in Punjabi music. He has also worked extensively as an actor and singer in Punjabi cinema.
